Deep learning

  1. What is deep learning?
Artificial Intelligence{
                        Any technique that enables computers to mimic human behaviour.

                  Machine Learning{
                                    The ability to learn without explicity being programmed.

                               Deep Learning{
                    Learn underflying features in data using neural networks.

Intelligence is the ability to process information so that it can be used to form future predictions and decisions. Deep learning is a subset of artificial intelligence and really it's just a subset of machine learning which involves more traditional methods where we try to learn representations directly from data.
Some of the amazing successes that Deep Learning has had in the past:

                                               The IMAGENET COMPETITION in 2012

In 2012 a competition called IMAGENET, which tasked AI researches to build an AI system capable of recognizing objects and images. The winner, for the first time ever was a deep learning base system. When it came out it absolutely shattered all other competitors and crushed the competition.

Today this deep learning systems have surpassed human level accuracy and can recognize images even better than we the humans can.
